Juan B. Colón
January 27, 1945 – October 17, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan B. Colón, who peacefully entered eternal rest on October 17, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, Juan later settled in New Britain, Connecticut, where he built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and family.
Juan was a man of quiet dignity with a heart of gold. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, always ready to help anyone in need without judgment. He found joy in life's simple pleasures, playing dominoes, cheering for the Yankees, and most of all, spending time surrounded by his loved ones. Juan was an employee of Fafnir/Timken retiring at 62 years of age and was a faithful member of St. Mary Church.
He is survived by his companion, Asuncion Melendez; his four beloved children, Alex Colón, Millibel Rivera, Janet Colón, and Ricardo Colón, along with his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of his life. He is welcomed into heaven by his oldest son, Juan R. Colón, as well as his parents, two brothers, and two sisters who preceded him in death.
Those who knew Juan will remember his unwavering strength, generosity, and gentle spirit. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, a man whose presence brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him, but his memory and the love he shared will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace.
