Yvonne Blankenship

Yvonne Yawin Blankenship, 80, of New Britain, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Belgium, she was a New Britain resident most of her life. She was a member of St. Jerome Church and Catholic War Veterans. Surviving are five children, Chantel Virlet of Belgium, John Tomcic and his wife Mary of New Britain, Kathleen Kruk and her husband Richard of Plainville, Nadia Krenzel of California, Richard Tomcic and his wife Denise of New Britain; many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
