Youlia Eshoo

Youlia Eshoo, 87, of New Britain, died peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006 at Haven Healthcare in Farmington. She was the widow of Baba P. Eshoo. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, she was a New Britain resident most of her life. She formerly attended St. Thomas Assyrian Church in New Britain. Youlia loved her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. Surviving are five sons, Peter and Barbara Eshoo of New Britain, Robert Eshoo of New Britain, Joseph and Jill Eshoo of Berlin, Benjamin and Debra Eshoo of Farmington, John and Kim Eshoo of Farmington; five grandchildren, Michael, Robby, Samantha, Alex, and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Brianna, and Miana; a sister, Nancy Khubyar of Toronto, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
