Yolanda Cannata

Yolanda Cannata, 49, of Cheshire, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 26, 2008. She was the widow of Paul Cannata Jr. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a former New Britain resident, moving to Cheshire three years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph Church. Surviving are her daughter, Lindsey Cannata; a son, Paul Cannata III; her mother, Adelaida Escobales; her father, Angel Acevedo; her step father, Salvator Escobales; three sisters, Damati, Sandra and Marisol; three brothers, Ivan, Salvatore, and Angel; her mother-in-law, Dolores Cannata; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Gambe and her husband Robert, and Karen Tomaso; her boyfriend, Douglas Prince; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main St., New Britain. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
