Wilfredo Vega

Wilfredo "Willy" Vega, 42, of New Britain, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Juana Martinez-Vega of New Britain and the late Domingo Vega. He was a former Middletown resident and a New Britain resident for the past 5 years. Wildredo was a member of Someplace Special in New Britain. He was a member of Iglesia Bautista La Hermonsa. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Wilfredo "Bibi" Vega Jr.; two brothers, Pedro Vega of Virginia Beach and Tony Vega of Puerto Rico; four sisters, Aida Rocha of Maryland, Lucy Vega of Puerto Rico, Nellie Vega of New Britain, and Gloria V. Mazzeo of Middletown. Calling hours are Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM at Iglesia Bautista La Hermosa, 456 East St. New Britain. Cremation Ceremony will be held Wednesday from 12 noon to 3:00PM at a place to be announced at calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
