Wilfredo Irizarry

Wilfredo Irizarry, 70, of New Britain, husband of Betzaida Irizarry, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Graceliano and Maria (Gonzalez) Irizarry.  He was a New Britain resident for the past 36 years and was a member of the Christian Pentecostal Church.

In addition to his beloved wife, Betzaida, he is survived by three sons, Samuel Irizarry, Josue Irizarry, Wilfredo Irizarry and his wife Baileys; a daughter, Awilda Irizarry Faraco; three brothers, Prudencio Irizarry, Heriberto Irizarry, and Abraham Irizarry; four sisters, Gloria Rosado, Vidalina Irizarry, Widillia Vienes, and Betsy Buitrago; and five grandchildren, Crystal M. Perez, Jordan Irizarry, Lyndsey Irizarry, Stephanie M. Faraco, and Amberliz M. Faraco.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Maria Perez.

Funeral services and calling hours will be held at the Christian Pentecostal Church, 119 West Main St., New Britain on Friday from 6-9 PM and Saturday at 10 AM.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
