Wayne Edward Patterson

Wayne Edward Patterson, 90, passed away January 18th at Sheridan Woods, Bristol, CT.  Born in West Rumney, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Lyman and Gladys (Quimby) Patterson.  Wayne proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy on an Aircraft Carrier as an airplane electrician during the Korean War and later became the consummate Salesman who was employed by Sears & Roebuck for approximately 35 years and won many awards as top Salesman.

He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed with his sons and brothers and his dogs kept him young and active throughout his life.

Wayne is survived by his long-term companion Vesper Brown currently of Lebanon, CT; his son Keith Patterson and companion Charlene Karanian and his son Kent Patterson all of New Britain; daughter-in-law Susan Jarecki of Bristol; grandsons Corey Patterson and wife Diana and great-grandson Easton of Marlborough, and Kevin Patterson and wife Georgia of New Britain; his sister Marie Barker of Winston-Salem NC and sisters-in-law Elaine Patterson of Southington and Maryann Patterson of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his 3 younger brothers Wayland, Wendell and Wyllie Patterson.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 3-5 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.  Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Wentworth, NH at the convenience of the family.
