Wanda Krol

Wanda Krol, 92, of Plainville and formerly of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. She was the widow of Anton Krol. Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Emily Erdmann. Wanda came to the United States from Germany in 1955 and worked as a Machine Operator at Fafnir Bearing Co. for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Wanda enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. She is survived by her daughter in law, Marilyn Erdmann, her grandchildren Elena and John Erdmann, all of Bristol and her loving caretakers, Henryk and Kathy Hordejuk of Plainville. Wanda was predeceased by her son Hans Erdmann. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
