Waclaw Gryczan

Waclaw Gryczan, 78, of Glastonbury, passed away on August 13, 2022. He was born in Poland on May 1, 1944 to the late Waclaw and Jadwiga (Wroczynska) Gryczan.

Waclaw left Poland on December 11, 1993 with his wife, Danuta Gryczan and his two daughters, Eva and Marzena. They resided in Brooklyn, NY until 2002 when they decided to move to New Britain. He loved gardening, playing on his computer and cars. Warclaw was a kind, hardworking man with a strong work ethic. He worked tirelessly renovating his home. Waclaw enjoyed being with his family was a loving husband and father. His grandchildren called him “Dziadziu”. His charismatic soft spoken demeanor always brought calm to any situation. His sense of humor captivated everyone that came in contact with him. He absolutely made everything better, even in the darkest days. He will be missed terribly.

Waclaw is survived by his wife, Danuta Gryczan; his two daughters, Eva Gryczan and her partner Geovanny Jessurum of Glastonbury and  Marzena and her husband Grzegorz Kedzierawski of Wolcott; and his grandchildren, Sandra and Nicole.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10 AM at Holy Cross Church, New Britain.
