Vito Cistulli, 100, of New Britain,, beloved husband of Maria Rizzi Cistulli, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at Haven Healthcare in Farmington. Born in Turi, Italy, he was the son of the late Peter and Aurelia Dalfino Cistulli. He came to the United States through Ellis Island in 1920 at the age of 15, with his uncle. He lived in New York, NY before coming to New Britain in 1953.. Vito was formerly employed at Stanley Works before retiring. He was a member of St. Ann's Church. In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Marjorie Cistulli of Farmington; two grandchildren, Christopher and Gregory Cistulli; and many other relatives in Turi, Italy. He is also survived by a nephew, Peter Pace of New Britain and was predeceased by a nephew, Andrew Pace. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Garden Mausoleum. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Erickson-Hansen funeral Home Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
