Virginia Wallis

Virginia Wallis, 92, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at Amberwoods in Farmington. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Barkauskas) Lemeris.

Virginia was a New Britain resident most of her life and was formerly employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Higher Education.  Virginia enjoyed traveling and would attend Scrabble tournaments all over the country.  She loved spending time with her family, particularly with her great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie Kalinoski and her husband Douglas; two grandchildren, Tracy Poole and her husband William; Jason Collin and his wife Christina; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Carter and Charlotte.  She is predeceased by her brother, James Lemeris.

Calling hours will be held privately at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain.
