Virginia Rodriguez, 70, of West Hartford, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Cidra, PR, she was the daughter of the late Herminio Rodriguez and Maria Magdalena Domenech (Rosario). Virginia was formerly a Hartford resident before moving to West Hartford six years ago. Virginia retired after years of working for a nursery and was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. With her vibrant spirit and her shining smile, her heart was always open and ready to receive anyone. Romans 12:12, Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Virginia is survived by her children, Maria E. Rodriguez, Ernestina and Jesus Clausell, Jr., Daisy Velazquez, and Felix Santiago, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jessica, Johnny, Cynthia, Alexander, Edgar, Gabrielle, Andrew, Justin, Jason, Jalina, Kayla, Anita, Emily, and Antonio; her great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Maria Isabel, Maria Mercedes, Jose A., Aida L. Rodriguez, Rafael Vargas, Jr., Domingo, Hector, Felix and Herminio Rodriguez, Jr. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, CT. Calling hours are Sunday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
