Vincent Amato

Vincent Amato, 40, of New Britain, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007. Born in New Britain, he was a former Middletown resident and a New Britain resident most of his life. Surviving are his parents, Rena Venturo Failla of New Britain and Carlo Amato of Florida; two sons, C.J. Amato of Berlin and Antonio Amato of New Britain; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Paula and Ron Bergeron of Bristol, Lucy and Nick Halkias of Berlin, Helen and Kevin Muller of Plainville; his Godmother, Maryann O'Donnell; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Isabella and Frank Venturo, and Maria and Vincent Amato. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
