Veronica Martinez

Veronica Martinez, 7, and Yvette Martinez, 4, beloved daughters of Kayla Torres and Luis Martinez, were taken by the Angels of God to their Heavenly home following an automobile accident on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015.

Veronica was a second grade student at Hanover Elementary School in Meriden. Yvette attended preschool at KinderCare in Meriden.

May we always remember them by the loving memories left behind such as, Chi-Chi’s contagious laughter and Nu-Nu’s adventurous look on life.

Surviving are their parents, Kayla Torres and Luis Martinez, a sister, Nevaeh Martinez, their maternal grandparents, Carmen Melendez and Stacy Dubowski; their paternal grandparents, Migdalia Pérez and Sergio Martinez; many aunts and uncles including, Sergio L. and Charlene Martinez, Ivelisse Rivera. Along with many cousins and close family friends, including Sheena Melendez, Crystal Lentini, Jaclyn Soto-Morales and Miguel Feliciano, and Jose Algarin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at 9:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, please donate teddy bears to the family, at 74 Greenwood Street, New Britain, CT 06051. The family will collect the teddy bears and make one large donation to a charity of their choice in memory of Veronica and Yvette.
