Vaughn Philip Allen, 83, of Newington passed away at home with loved ones on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Born in Topsfield, Maine, he was the only son of 4 children born to Thomas and Vera (Hodsdon) Allen.

Vaughn was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam Era. Vaughn traveled to countries like Germany and England where he continued to learn his trade of Dental Lab Technician. He was honorably discharged and began his career of almost 55 years at the same company.

Vaughn is predeceased by his parents; older sister Priscilla Allen and brother-in-law Theodore Allen of Florida; older sister Darolyn Ivey and brother-in-law George Ivey of Florida; and his beloved ex wife Ruth (Breiding) Allen of Florida.

Vaughn is survived by his son David Allen; daughter-in-law Connie Allen; grandsons Lee Allen, and Brandon Allen of New Britain; daughter Kathryn Allen-Previti; and granddaughter Lillyana Previti of Newington.

Vaughn was a member of Wellspring Church in Kensington where he loved fellowship with his church family every week. And Bible study with close church family members as well.

Vaughn was such an amazing man who always had a kind heart and caring nature for family and friends who were struggling. Vaughn helped and made, many friends throughout his 33 years of sobriety; and loved everyone with his whole heart.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
