Vanessa Marie Martinez

Vanessa M. Martinez, 35, of New Britain passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Vanessa was born in New Britain on May 2, 1987 to Ervin Martinez and Sandra (Cyr) Mari.

Vanessa was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Robert J. Cyr and her paternal grandmother, Maria (Jiminez) Martinez.  In addition to her parents, Vanessa is survived by her stepfather, James Mari; her maternal grandmother, Sylvia M. (Theriault) Cyr; her paternal grandfather, Santiago Martinez; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.  She also leaves behind her two cats, Webster and Teenie.

Vanessa loved the ocean, beach, and animals.  She was studying to be a respiratory therapist.  Vanessa spent her final months being cared for by her Mommy.

A Memorial Mass will held on June 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Divine Providence Parish, 195 S. Main St., New Britain.  A reception will follow at Marconi Club, 15 Viets St, New Britain at 1 PM.
