Theresa M. (Marcucci) Dwyer, 95, of Hamden, CT formerly of New Britain died peacefully Sunday, April 30, 2023 at home with her family by her side.  Theresa was born January 7, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Marcucci. Theresa was a longtime resident of New Britain and Berlin before moving to Hamden four years ago.  She worked at Fafnir Bearing for many years and later retired from JC Penney in 1989.  She was a member of St. Ann Church.

Theresa is survived by her son, Joseph T. Cefaratti and wife Deborah; two stepsons, Ronald Dwyer and wife Linda and David Dwyer; five grandchildren, Christopher Cefaratti, Albert Papa Jr. and wife Danielle, Kristen Papa, Ethan Dwyer and wife Ariah, and Benjamin Dwyer and wife Jessica; and four great grandchildren, Brooklynn Papa, Cash Papa, Acadia Dwyer and Finnegan Dwyer.   Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Cefaratti and her second husband, Philip M. Dwyer and one son, Thomas Cefaratti. Her family would like to thank the staff at Accent Care Hospice and Palliative Care for their support and compassion during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Ann Church, St. Joachim Parish, 101 Nor th St., New Britain.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
