Theodore Majewski

Theodore "Ted" Majewski, 86, of Kensington, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Violet (Gottlin) Majewski for 65 years. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Sazjak) Majewski. Ted has been a Kensington resident since 1946 coming from New Britain. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. Ted worked construction for many years and also as a custodian at McGee Middle School, retiring in 1989. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Thomas Majewski, his granddaughter Marlo Matassa and her husband Ryan, and his great grandchildren, Lily and Patrick Matassa, all of Kensington. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Berlin Animal Control, PO Box 1, Berlin, CT 06037.
