Sylvia T. Albert, 74, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Albert. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Paula DePaul Santoro. Sylvia was a resident of New Britain most of her life. She was formerly employed at the Herald in the Circulation Dept. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, where she enjoyed playing bingo, and was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Herbert Goodrich and Robert Goodrich, both of Baltimore MD; a daughter, Elizabeth Goodrich of New Britain; her granddaughter, Adrianne Goodrich of Baltimore MD; her sister, Elizabeth Barrows of New Britain, and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Muscillo, Josephine London, and Sally Maltese. Funeral services will be held Friday evening at 7:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. New Britain. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
