Steven Paul Saucier, 52, of New Britain, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April. 5, 2006 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Fitchburg, MA, he was the son of Edna Martin Saucier of New Britain, and the late Joseph Saucier. Steven was a New Britain resident most of his life and was employed at the Big Y for the past seven years. Prior to that, he was employed at the Constructive Workshop. He was a member of CCARC, where he served as the president of the "Yes I Can" program and was a part of the Best Buddy Program. He also served as a volunteer at New Britain Transportation Co. He was a member of St. Ann Church. In addition to his mother Edna, he is survived by two brothers, David Saucier of New Britain and Garry Saucier and his wife Gail of Meriden; his nephew Michael and niece Rachel; his "best Buddy" Eric; and by many friends. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Ann Church.
