Stella Bardeck Swanson, 86, of Kensington, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at Ledgecrest Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Verner Swanson. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Pryrycka Bardeck. Stella moved to New York NY in 1938 and was employed as a bookkeeper at Beehler Arts in New York City. She moved to Kensington in the1960's and was employed as a bookkeeper at Kolodney's Hardware Store in New Britain. Stella was a member of St. Paul's Church, the Ladies Guild at church, and the AARP. Surviving are a sister, Helen Labieniec of Kensington; a brother, Casimir "Cas" Bardeck of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Cianci and Ann Cantino, and by a brother, Walter Bardeck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Church, Kensington. Burial will be in West Lane Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
