Sonny Minniti

Sonny Minniti, 88, of Wallingford, passed away on June 28, 2015 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden surrounded by his loving family. Born in New York, he was the son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Maida) Minniti. Sonny was most proud of his years at Wallace Silversmiths in Wallingford where he was a watch maker of Hamilton watches. He loved to bowl and play golf. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Gussie (Cusumano) Minniti of Wallingford, his son and daughter in law, Anthony and Susan Minniti of Orange, CT; his sister, Mary Lewis of Westport, CT; and two grandsons, Anthony Minniti of Long Island, NY and Michael Minniti of Woodbridge, CT. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Minniti, his brother Nick Minniti , and his sister Theresa Foglia. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave., Bronx, NY. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Masonicare, 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of CT, 1463 Highland Ave., Cheshire, CT 06410. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
