Sonia Vargas

Sonia Ivette Vargas, 53, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Arcangel Vargas and Eva N. Santiago of Puerto Rico. She was a New Britain resident for the past 13 years and was employed as a shift leader at Dunkin Donuts on East Main St., New Britain. She was a member of St. Mary Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Luis Martinez; four children, Ruben Castanon, Miguel A. Vega, Yahaira Vega, and Ricardo Martinez; three sisters, Maria Vargas, Carmen Vargas, Alma Ottenwarden; three granddaughters; five grandsons; one great-grandson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Friday from 12 noon to 2PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
