Siran (Malkasian) Mardirosian, 92, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was the widow of Aram Mardirosian.
Born in Jamaica Queens, NY, Siran was the daughter of the late Nishan and Vartouhie (Armaghanian) Malkasian. She was a long time resident of Wethersfield, moving from Plainview, Long Island over 61 years ago. Siran worked as a record keeper for the CT Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring 28 years ago. She was a member and steward of St. George Armenian Church in Hartford. A dedicated servant of her parish she lovingly served her church in countless ways. Siran was a member of the Women’s Guild of St. George Armenian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Vartan for many years.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Suzanne and Andrew DeCorleto of Old Saybrook, two sons and daughters-in-law Alan and Donna Mardirosian of Willington, Richard and Linda Mardirosian of East Hampton, her six grandchildren, Drew DeCorleto and his wife Teresa Goding, Michael DeCorleto and his wife Karen, Michael and Sara Mardirosian, and Rachael and Matthew Mardirosian, and her four great grandchildren, Andrew and Lucy DeCorleto, Tripp DeCorleto, and Angelina Mardirosian.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at St. George Armenian Church, 22 White St., Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved St. George Armenian Church, 22 White St., Hartford, CT 06114. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
