Silvestre Antonio Rivera

Silvestre “Tony” Rivera, 61, of Sun City Center, FL , formerly of Berlin, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his loving family. Tony leaves his beloved wife of 38 years, Valerie (Okula) Rivera.

Growing up in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Dolores (Miranda) Rivera and (the late) Enrique A. Rivera. Tony has been a long time Berlin resident, who recently moved to Florida. He worked as a commercial Cabinet Maker for Liberty Industries in East Berlin for almost 30 years. Tony was known as a jack of all trades, by all of his friends and family. He could fix or build anything, and was always willing to help anyone with his skills. Tony was a simple man who enjoyed his home, family and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, Tony is survived by his three cherished children: his son Michael Rivera of Tampa, Florida, and his daughters, Rachel Rivera and her fiancee Dennis Motta, and Alexa and Chris Pritchard of Berlin. Tony also leaves his brothers and sister and their spouses: Rick Rivera, Javier Rivera, Luis and Donna Rivera, Elvis and Marsha Rivera, and his sister Yolanda and Ivan Salazar. He was also the beloved brother-in-law to Bob and Wendy Okula, Carol and (the late) Ken Peck, and Laura Okula. He was known as Uncle Tony to several nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
