Sherri Cobuzzi, 48, formerly of Kensington, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Rockville General Hospital. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of Ralph Cobuzzi of Berlin and the late Claudette (Albert) Cobuzzi. Sherri was a long time Kensington resident. She was a graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical School and formerly employed as a hairdresser. She was a member of St. Ann's Church, the Barbers Union, and the State of Connecticut Correction Department Union. Surviving are her son, Michael Cobuzzi of Plainville; her father, Ralph Cobuzzi and his wife Amiee of Berlin; a brother, Joey Cobuzzi and his wife Lisa of New Britain and Florida, their children Joey and Corrina, and their grandchild; her grandmother, Anastasia Cobuzzi of New Britain; a step-brother, Brian Scaria of So. Windsor; a step-sister, Susan Posa of New York; an aunt and uncle, Eugenia Cobuzzi and Tony Cobuzzi; a cousin, Tina Pascale of Plainville. Sherri had an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews as well has her close friends. Sherri will be greatly missed by those who loved her dearly. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann's Church in New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
