Sharron Amenta Blancato 73, passed away peacefully due to complications from COVID 19 on Thursday July 9th, with her loving family by her side.
Sharron was a beautiful soul who was loved by so many, and whose strength and compassion were admired. She was an extremely courageous and generous woman who gave endlessly of her time and of her love. Sharron also spent her summers at the family beach house in Westbrook on the Long Island sound.
Sharron was born on August 30, 1946 to Former State Senator Paul S Amenta and his wife Marion (Whitney). She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Lisa Blancato of Glastonbury and her 5 grandchildren, Giovanni , Anabella, Farrah, Soleil and Hudson. She was predeceased by her daughter Dena Marie Blancato. She also leaves behind her sister Joyce and Dave McKnight of Bristol, her Brother Paul and Jean Amenta of New Britain; sister Pamela Gervais of Westbrook; sister Cynthia Amenta Panella of Westbrook, CT. Sister in law Rosemary Blancato of Berlin. She also leaves her beloved uncle Sebastian Amenta of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and his family. Her nieces and nephews Tim White and Rick Streb, Daniel and Jennifer Gervias, Bryan and Amy Amenta, Christopher and Amy Gervais, Jon and Trish White, Michael and Shauna Panella, Jesse and Kelsey Panella, Jennifer Peterson, Kristen Amenta and Deanna Ferguson. Kathleen and Kevin Ouellette, Richard Blancato. Cousins William Delorenze of Westbrook and his daughters, Allie, Gabriella and Daniella Delorenze. Rich and Paula Delorenze of Deep River, Donna Delorenze Alexander and her husband Rick of Punta Gorda Florida. She also leaves behind many great friends who loved her dearly.
We would like to give a special thank you to her beloved friend Sue Truglio and the Boucher Family for always keeping a watchful eye on Sharron.
Sharron will rest in loving peace with her parents, her daughter and her sister Patricia (Amenta) Nigro. Sharron will be laid to rest at a later date at the Amenta Family Plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain. There will be a celebration of life at a later date to be determined.
