Sara Lourdes Pejoves

Sara Lourdes Pejoves Delgadillo Sara Lourdes Pejoves, 66, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2011 after a battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She had received loving care, kindness and friendship that will never be forgotten from family and friends; especially Jesusa and German Escudero and family. Sara was born in Arequipa, Peru on July 1, 1944. She moved to the United States in May 1973 with her then husband of 29 years Carlos Delgadillo. She was a devoted and loving mother. She worked in the New Britain school system and enjoyed teaching religion classes at St. Ann. Sara took pleasure in going to the beach, dancing and loved to travel. After her retirement she traveled to Egypt, Italy, Ecuador, Argentina and visited relatives in both Spain and Peru. More than anything she truly enjoyed being with family and friends. She is very proud of her 4 children's accomplishments. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Delgadilllo Trottier and her husband Robert of Bristol, Veronica Delgadillo Greiner and her husband Neil of South Windsor; two sons, Carlos Delgadillo and Jonathan Delgadillo of New Britain; five grandsons, Nicholas and Justin Trottier and Zachary, Blake and William Greiner; three brothers, Jorge Pejoves, Jose Pejoves and Demetrio Pejoves; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday January 13, 5:00- 8:00 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home 411 South Main Street, New Britain. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary's Church, 544 Main Street, New Britain.
