Sara (Macala) Bly, 44 years old, wife of Russell Bly, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born in Southington CT, the eldest daughter to her parents, Amy and Paul Macala on April 11, 1978 and grew up in Southington.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by their four children: Forrest Bly (Cassey) of Berlin, CT; Chelsea Bly, Dylan Bly and Sugaree Bly of Plantsville, CT; her sisters Lindsay Babon (Matt) of Southington, CT and Ashley Archer (Mike) of Portland, CT; three grandchildren: Elovie, Igzy, and Ruca Bly ; nephews Riley Evangelisti and William Archer, nieces Scout Evangelisti and Emily Archer.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Frank and Yolanda Zeek of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, maternal grandparents Eileen and Russell Hunting of Southington CT, and her uncle Joseph Macala of Washington, Pennsylvania.
She is survived and remembered with love by her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her many friends. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and husband and found joy in being known as the Bly Tribe and their love was truly built to last. The family has enjoyed many summer adventures camping together, taking road trips, and seeing her favorite bands. Sara was a lover of nature including creatures great and small. Being outdoors, whether the woods or the mountain, led her to become known as "Mountain Girl" among close friends. Sara will forever be in our hearts.
Memorial celebration for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
