Santos Rodriguez Zavala

Santos Rodriguez Zavala, 68, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at his home.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Milagros Zavala and the late Santos Rodriguez.

Santos was very social and loved by everyone who encountered him.  His family was the most important part of his life.  He was always considered the life of the party.

Santos is survived by his mother, Milagros Zavala; three sisters and their spouses, Haydee and Walter Silva of New Britain, Irma Rodriguez and Hipolito Vazquez of New Britain, and Justina and Efrain Martinez of Pawtucket, RI; his half-brother Dario Rodriguez; 9 nieces and nephews; and 18 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 1 great-grandnephew.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Community Social Integration (CSI) group home as well as Maple Hill Public Group Home for their kindness and compassion during Santos’ stays.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 10-11:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
