Santa Martinez

Santa Martinez, 71, of New Britain, wife of Felipe Martinez, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Rafael Vazquez and Maria Justiniano. She was a former resident of Brooklyn, New York before moving to New Britain 25 years ago. Surviving are her beloved husband, Felipe Martinez Sr ; three sons, Wilson and his wife Leslie Martinez, Robert Martinez, and Felipe Martinez Jr.; three daughters, Elizabeth and her husband Rafael Velez, Janira Martinez, and Lillian Martinez ; a brother, Benjamin Vazquez and sister Teresa Vazquez from Puerto Rico; Carmen Vazquez, Luz Maria Vazquez, from Brooklyn New York ; twenty grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain, CT. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
