Sandra M. Morrissey

Sandra M. Morrissey, 83, of New Britain passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain.

Sandra was born in New Britain to the late Thomas and Margaret (Fox) Morrissey.  Sandra grew up in New Britain and attended the former St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She lived for a short while in Millbury, Massachusetts, but later returned home to New Britain where she resided the remainder of her life.

Sandra is survived by her brother, Ronald Morrissey and his wife Nancy of Plainville; her nieces and nephews, Henry Borysewicz Jr. and his wife Mary, Joann Floyd and her husband Dennis, Thomas Morrissey III and his wife Yanti, Michael Morrissey and his wife Sue, Dennis Morrissey and his partner Therese Audet, and Matthew Morrissey and his partner Amy Benigni; and many grand nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Borysewicz and her husband Henry, and by her brother, Thomas Morrissey and his wife Ellen.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.  A calling hour will held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
