Samuel Delgado

Samuel "Sam" Delgado, 46, of New Britain, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Britain, he was the son of Ruben and Concetta (Stillo) Delgado. He was a former resident of Florida and was a New Britain resident most of his life. He was formerly employed at Navaro Truck Co. in Bristol and was a member of Greater Harvest Ministry. Sam served as a chaplain and worked as a missionary in Nicaragua. Sam was loved by his brothers and sisters in the church. His good spirit was enjoyed by all the members of the church. Sam was proud to have been able to save the lives of two people in Ohio, and was honored in both Ohio and New Britain for his service. Surviving are his parents, Ruben and Concetta Delgado; a daughter, Lisette Delgado of New Britain; his brothers, Michael Delgado and Jimmy Delgado, both of New Britain and Luis Delgado of Hartford; His former wife, Maria Delgado; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, Funeral services will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 12 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 6-9 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
