Salvador R. Escobales

Salvador R. Escobales, 85, of New Britain, husband of Adelaida (Martinez) Escobales, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Andrew House Healthcare. Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Bernardino Escobales and Monserate Renta. He was a resident of New Britain for over 40 years and was formerly employed at Stanley Works for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church. Surviving are his wife, Adelaida (Martinez) Escobales; his children, Sal Escobales Jr., Angel Escobales, Ivan Morrell, Jimmy Escobar, and Ismael Escobales; two step daughters, Sandy Cook and Damaris Mendoza; many nieces and nephews many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step daughter, Yolanda Cannata, and by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday (today) from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
