Sadie Marzbanian Jacobs

Sadie Jacobs, 80, of New Britain, wife of Edward S. Jacobs, died Monday at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Markar and Akabi Matesian Marzbanian. Sadie was a member of St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, the Ladies Guild at church, and the Armenian Red Cross. In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by a son, Edward R. Jacobs and his wife Cheryl of Windham. NH; a daughter, Darlene Evslin of West Hartford; three grandchildren, Jarah Evslin, Kim Almasian and her husband Joe, and Randy Hagopian; two great-grandchildren, Armen and Meline, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., and at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church. Calling hours are Wednesday today from 6-8 PM with a prayer service to be conducted by Archpriest Rev. Krikoris Kechichian at 7:30 PM.
