Ruth W. Carlson

Ruth Weimann Carlson, 87, was called Home on October 19 in Cromwell, CT. Ruth was born in Rocky Hill, CT and was a graduate of Barrington RI College. She worked as a secretary for the Evangelical Covenant Church, local law firms, and Springfield College. She was a member of Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin, CT. Ruth will be remembered for her deep devotion to Christ and her family, her prayerful attitude, and her contentment with God's provision for her. She was predeceased by her husband, George, and three siblings, Daniel Weimann, Paul Weimann, and Betty Beckett. She is survived by her son, David Carlson, his wife Arva, and granddaughters Anna, Jenna, Maria, and Sofia, all of Wilbraham, MA; a sister, Lydia Rudeen, of CA; a brother, John Weimann, of Phoenix, AZ; and 21 nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Fri., Oct. 30, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Spfld., MA. A memorial service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 31, 2009 at Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin, CT 06037, followed by a reception.
