Roy Wesley Rockhill

Roy Wesley Rockhill, 67, of New Britain, beloved husband of Joanne (Spinner) Rockhill, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. Born August 6, 1947 in Westville, NY, he was the son of Audrey (Barney) Rockhill and the late Kermit Rockhill. He was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney for 43 years, retiring in 2011. He had a great passion for racing and was involved with quarter midget racing. He enjoyed his time racing and working on cars with his family and friends. Roy loved motorcycles and riding motorcycles. He was a humble man with few words but had great love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as his beloved dogs. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife Joanne, and his mother Audrey, he is survived by his children, Lourie D'Agostino and husband Todd, Kermit Rockhill and wife Donna, Linda Gagnon and husband Rene, Wesley Rockhill and wife Maria, and Diann Keller and fiancé Lee Bayer; his grandchildren, Michael, Kayla, Courtney, Christopher, Jakob, Bella, Julie, Louie, Kimmy and Natalee; two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, John Rockhill of New York. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
