OBITUARY: Rovena Snyder with picture Rovena Irene Luksas Snyder, 51, of Plainville, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hahns, Germany, she was the daughter of Irene Luksas of Plainville and the late Peter Luksas. She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Plainville. Rovena was employed at the State Dept. of Mental Retardation in Newington. She was a devoted worker and was loved by the people she worked with. In addition to her mother Irene, she is survived by a son, Earl C. Snyder III of Plainville; a daughter, Rhonda L. Snyder of Plainville; three brothers, Peter Luksas and wife Esther of Terryville, Tony Luksas of Mass. and John Luksas of Newington; a sister, Elvera Everett and husband Terry of Mass.; her former husband, Earl C. Snyder, Jr. of N.J.; her brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, David and Colleen Snyder, Bobby Snyder, Dee Coughlin, Larry and Marty Snyder, Susan Hooper, Gloria Hartke, Janet Snyder, and Laura Cruz; her father-in-law, Tickey Snyder; and her nieces and nephews, Austin, Callie, Carina, David, Sarah, Ryan, Mike, Andrew, Jon, Mike, Brian, Brei, Raven, and Lexi. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Etta Snyder. Rovena was greatly loved by all and will be missed by her many family and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to call at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain on Wednesday from 4-7 PM. A reception will follow at the VFW Hall, Farmington Ave. Plainville.
