Rose Angeli Wollman, 94, of Kensington, passed away on June 3, 2024 at Mulberry Gardens in Plantsville. She was the widow of Charles Angeli and John “Jack” Wollman.
Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine (Criniti) Andreachio. Rose was a former New Britain resident before moving to Kensington. She was formerly employed by the New Britain Water Commission before retiring.
Rose was a member of St. Paul Church, St. Paul’s Ladies Guild, the Kensington Garden Club, AARP, and was Queen mother of the Red Hat Society. She served as the Chair of the Berlin Scarecrow Festival, was a blood drive volunteer, and was a member of the NBHS class of 1947 Reunion Committee.
Surviving are her son, Bruce Angeli and his wife Mary Heffernan of Weston; her daughter, Marlene Demma and her husband Michael of Southington; four grandchildren, Isabel Rose Angeli, Nicole Natsisky (Brian), Lindsay Guisto (Michael), and Michael Demma; three great-grandchildren, Evan Natsisky, Olivia Schug, and Alexa Guisto; her cousins, Nicholas Criniti and Esther Criniti; and her lifelong friend, Bette Smulski. Rose was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Andreachio and her sister, Mary Esernia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. The family requests that in celebration of a life well-lived, guests honor Rose’s request and avoid wearing black.
