Rose Mary Delldonna

Rose Mary Delldonna, age 87, a lifelong resident of New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025. She was the beloved widow of Richard A. Delldonna and the cherished daughter of the late Sam and Fanny Tranchida. Rose Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Rose Ann Delldonna of Conneaut OH, Russell A Delldonna of Windsor CT, and her beloved grandchildren Alexis B. Delldonna and Marcella J. Delldonna. She was predeceased by her daughter, Robin Angel Delldonna, whose memory Rose Mary carried close to her heart.

Rose Mary was a proud graduate of the New Britain General Hospital School of Radiology and devoted much of her life to serving others. She dedicated countless hours as a volunteer at the Children's Hospital in Boston, St. Paul's School in Kensington, and the Renbrook School in West Hartford.

An active and respected member of her community, Rose Mary was involved in numerous organizations, including the New Britain Women's Club, the Italian Junior League, the Alumni Association of Mary Immaculate Academy, and St. Ann's Church. Her leadership and dedication were evident in her role as First Vice President of the New Britain General Hospital Auxiliary, where she also served as Chairwoman of the Biennial Fundraiser and other hospital-oriented activities.

Her passion for the arts and culture was reflected in her involvement with the New Britain Symphony and the Museum of Modern Arts. Rose Mary's tireless commitment to bettering her community earned her numerous awards for her service and volunteerism, such as the prestigious Columbian Federation Achievement Award in 1981 and countless Service Awards from New Britain General Hospital.

Her boundless kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Rather than donating to a charity, please honor her memory by extending a helping hand and serving the community, or by spreading kindness and love to those in need.
