Rosalba Jimenez

Rosalba Jimenez, 74, of New Britain, died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain surrounded by her loving family. Born in Colombia, South America, she was the daughter of the late Rosario Solarte and Leonardo Donneys. She was a resident of New Britain for 30 years and was formerly employed at Peck Spring Co. in Plainville. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Church where she was active in the Prayer Group and visiting those in need. Surviving are her beloved husband, Luis Jimenez; her daughter, Maria Perez and her husband Javier of New Britain; two grandchildren, Joanna and Jennifer; and a great-grandson, Daniel Justiniano. Also surviving are a sister Ceneida Boresoff of CA; a brother Damaso Donneys of Colombia; many nieces and nephews, including Elizabeth Donneys of New Britain; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her son, Luis Jimenez. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
