Rosa J. Soto

Rosa J. Soto, 61, of New Britain, beloved wife of Julio Soto, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT.

Born in Rincon, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Miguelina Cartagena of Puerto Rico and the late Fernando Sanabria.  Rosa was a New Britain resident for over 40 years and was employed as a food service lunch aide at the New Britain School system.  She was a member of St. Mary Church.  Rosa was a devoted grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Julio Soto; three sons, George Soto and his wife Lisa of Meriden, Edgar Soto and his wife Brenda of New Britain, and Michael Soto of New Britain; a special daughter, Iris Perez of New Britain; a brother Fernando Sanabria of Puerto Rico, two sisters, Juanita Sanabria of Puerto Rico and Carmen Sanabria of New Britain; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So.  Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary Church.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Calling hours are Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
