Rosa "Prieta" Maria Pabon

Rosa “Prieta” M. Pabon, 69, of New Britain, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT.

Born in San German, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jesus Pabon and Rita Cancel. She was a New Britain resident for over 50 years and was a member of St. Mary Church. She was a frequent visitor of the Puerto Rican Society Club in New Britain.

Surviving are two sons, Edgardo “Aly” Torres and William “Billy” Torres; two sisters, Lucresia Delmoral and Rita Pabon; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday (today) from 7-9 PM.
