Roger Walter Haman

Roger W. Haman, 52, of Kensington, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Gerhard W. Haman and Mildred Ziegler Haman. Roger attended schools in Kensington, graduating from Berlin High School in 1971. He was currently employed at Harbour Motors in Old Saybrook, working as a parts technician. Roger was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Britain and the Italian Independant Political Club in Kensington, where he served as treasurer. He participated in many bowling leagues, enjoyed fishing and playing bocce, and formerly served as an usher at church. Surviving are two loving sisters, Jean Haman of Kensington and Ruth Haman Lewis of Fremont, CA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until leaving for church at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 295 Arch St. New Britain, CT 06051 or to the American Red Cross, 45 Russell St. New Britain, CT 06052.
