Roberto "Rube" Flores
Roberto “Rube” Flores, 92, of New Britain, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was the widower of Rita (Figueroa) Flores.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Gerardo and Rosalia (Galarza) Flores. Roberto worked as a farmer while living in Puerto Rico before coming to New Britain. He is survived by his son Antonio, many grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Mary Church of St. Joachim Parish, 544 Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
