Robert H. Stabert

Robert H. Stabert, 95, formerly of New Britain, died Thursday, February 27, 2003, at home in Lake City, PA. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Ziegler Stabert. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Stabert. He was a resident of New Britain prior to moving to Lake City, PA in 1998. Robert was employed as a teller at New Britain National Bank for many years and was later employed as a Gauge Setter at Fafnir Bearing Co., retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Unity Lodge AF & AM, the Chapter Council of Hartford, Washington Commandry, and the New Britain Senior Citizens. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Wilbur Nass of Lake City, PA, Beverly and Richard Wolf of Spofford, NH; a sister Edith Anderson of Cobalt; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, Inc., 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be from Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
