Robert M. Rodriguez

Robert M. Rodriguez, 33, of New Britain passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 9, 2021, after a hard-fought battle for his life in the ICU. We are truly devastated by this loss and were completely unprepared, but we were fortunate to have been with him during his transition out of this world.

He was born on December 8, 1987, to parents Carmen Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez in Bronx, NY.  Robert immediately filled the lives of those around him with joy despite being a very quiet, shy and private person.  Though very stubborn, he had a huge heart and was a good son and was trying his best to be a better brother.  He grew up in New Britain for most of his years, graduated from New Britain High School in 2006 and after high school went on to work for Rich Products Corporation in New Britain for well over a decade.

Robert was a loving uncle to little Madison and adored his family especially his niece who could make him smile from ear to ear and his little brother Brandon. Robert had a big passion for video games, anime, and anything of Asian culture.  He was big into food and always loved his mother’s cooking and hoped his sister’s food would be just as good one day. His presence is sorely missed, and we will remember the good memories we had with him from staying up late playing super smash brothers, Zelda and Mario Party to trading Pokémon and Yu Gi Oh cards.

He is survived by his loving sister, Kathy Rodriguez and his brothers Jonathan Rodriguez, Yasir Juma, Brandon Morgan, brother-in- laws Billy and John, his best friends for life and brothers Raul Ortiz & Kiko Arroyo, niece Madison and his pride and joy of an ever-loving mother Carmen, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the states and Puerto Rico.  Private funeral services will be held, at Robert’s request.
