Robert W. Roberts, 83, of Auburn, ME, a former Kensington resident, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 in Maine. Born in Emporia, Kansas, he was the son of the late Edward and Esther Jones Roberts. He was a former New Britain and Kensington resident before moving to Maine in 1994. Robert was a US Army Air Force Veteran of World War II and was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney in Southington. He was a member of the Kensington United Methodist Church, the Quartet Club, and the Eagles. Surviving are two sons, Robert F. Roberts and his wife Donna of New Britain and Edward J. Roberts II of Hartford; a brother, Calvin T. Roberts of Overland Park, KS; a sister, Dorothy Stafford of Wichita, KS; a sister-in-law, E. Pearl Roberts of Hartford, KS; a granddaughter, Ellen Marie Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold E. Roberts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in West Lane Cemetery.
