Robert " Bob" Quarello, 75, of Kensington, beloved husband of Sandra "Sandi" Johnson Quarello, died peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Hospital of Central Conn. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Candido and Agnes Baretta Quarello. He was a life long Kensington resident and was formerly employed at Arute Brothers and George Tomasso Co. before retiring. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Bob was a member of St. Paul Church, the Italian Independent Political Club, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th Degree Knight. In addition to his wife Sandi, he is survived by a son, James Quarello and his wife Vicki of Wallingford; two daughters, Jean Quarello of Wallingford and Jill Van Wey and her husband Christopher of East Hampton; a sister, Sandra Schuler and her husband Francis of Maryland; three step-children, Leonard Bisaccia and his wife Deborah of Brookfield, Susan Bisaccia of Plainville, Sally Scheyd and her husband Joseph of Kensington; five grandchildren, Rachael and Alexa Quarello, Kyle Scheyd, Katelyn and Charlotte Bisaccia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
