Robert C. Natzke

Robert C. Natzke, 82, formerly of New Britain, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Foley Natzke who died in 1996. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Otto and Edith Galpin Natzke. He graduated from New Britain High School where he played football. Robert was a long time New Britain resident before moving to Terryville in 1989. He was formerly employed at the Stanley Works for 25 years before retiring. Robert loved caring for his family, fishing, and stock car races at Plainville Stadium. Surviving are six daughters, Carol Ann Merrill of Middletown, Linda Anne Martin, Donna Anne Majewski of Rocky Hill, Robin Natzke, Faythe Anne Leone of Enfield and Hope Anne Larson of Meriden; an uncle, Don Desrosiers; thirteen grandchildren, Ruth, Richard, John, Timmy, Heather, Sarah, Joni, Jennifer, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Robert III, Krystal, and Brooke; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandchild, Erica Ann. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Marks Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
